Nurse Leaders of Idaho announces results of election for 2022 board of directors

The voting closed on Thursday, September 30 and the current board validated the election on Friday.  The following NLI members were elected to begin terms on January 1, 2022.

President-elect:  Kevin McEwan, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, is newly-elected and has just completed his term on the AONL national board of directors as Region 8 Director.  He is the current CNO at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg.

Secretary:  Claudia Miewald, DNP, APRN, PMHCNS-BC, is re-elected and is the Director of Behavioral Health at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene.  

Region 1 Representative:  Tari Yourzek, RN is re-elected and is the CNO at Boundary County Hospital in Bonners Ferry.  

Region 3 Representative:  Amarissa (Amy) Gilbert, MSN, RN is newly elected and is a charge nurse for St. Luke’s Women’s Services.

Region 5 Representative:  Erinn Neilson, BSN, RN is re-elected and is a former CNO and is currently a graduate student finishing her MSN. 

Region 7 Representative:  Sara Hawkins, PhD, RN, CPPS  is re-elected and is the director of patient safety at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Idaho Falls, and she is also the editor and chief of RN IDAHO since 2019.  

CNEL Representative:  Allison Baker, PhD (c), RN, who is Dept. Chair, School of Nursing, College of Western Idaho.

In January they will join ongoing board members:

President:  Carolyn Hansen, MSN, RN, who is CNO at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.

Immediate Past PresidentJoan Agee, DNP, RN, FACHE who is a former CNO at St. Luke's Nampa and is currently a faculty at Lewis Clark State College, Lewiston.

Treasurer:  Jamie Lieber, MBA, RN who is Assistant CNO at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Idaho Falls.

Region 2 RepresentativeHolly Urban, MSN, RN, who is CNO at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Lewiston.

Region 4 Representative:  currently vacant

Region 6 RepresentativeNathan Buck, MSN, RN, who is the acute care med-surge director at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.
